Our mission is to provide a safe space for Greensboro SCALE Academy girls to seek guidance from a female role model, such as a first responder, teacher, or counselor in order to prepare girls to return to their primary school with the resources and opportunities to fulfill their highest social, behavioral, and academic potential.
Staff Members: Ms. Butler, Ms. Sims, Ms. Neal, Ms. Walls, Ms. McMillan and Officer Azlan
Mentors will meet with the mentees every Thursday after school. Every month is assigned a topic such as conflict resolution, conflict handling styles, self-confidence, self- esteem, goal setting, decision making, emotional intelligence, leadership, etc. Every week, mentors will facilitate an interactive discussion and activities regarding the topic of the month.
We provide snacks, beverages, CGR t-shirts and hoodies, goodie bags – to include hygiene products, journals, and year-round school supplies.
